raum500 ist ein Projektraum in einem ehemaligen Bürokomplex der Stadtwerke im Zentrum Münchens. Aus einer Ateliergemeinschaft heraus entstand dort 2003 die Idee zur Gründung eines Ausstellungsraumes, der sich von dem Konzept kommerzieller Institutionen abgrenzt. Mehr als ein Ort zur Präsentation von Arbeiten junger Künstler soll raum500 vor allem ein Forum sein zum Austausch innerhalb der Kunstszene, auch über die Grenzen Münchens hinaus.

raum500 is a non-profit project space based in a former office building in the centre of Munich. Founded in 2003 by the three artists Matthias Männer, Motoko Dobashi and Simone Braitinger, many exhibitions and events took place in collaboration with artists from all over Europe.

Der Ausstellungsraum ist seit 2009 geschlossen.
